Deadly Multi-Vehicle Crash On Interstate 215 Jams Traffic At State Route 60 Interchange

Riverside, CA ( September 04, 2020 ) – On Thursday, a motorist died in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 215 in Riverside.

The California Highway Patrol said that the crash happened at about 12:35 p.m. between 2 semi-trucks and a gold Ford Expedition.

Additionally, the CHP said that the vehicles collided in the HOV and fast lane of northbound I-215, just north of Box Springs Road,

Consequently, the SUV driver died at the scene. No information on the motorist identity as of yet.

Subsequently, the CHP closes 3 of the 4 lanes and issued a SIgAlert to address the worsening traffic.

Moreover, the 3 lanes remain closed as of 2:25 p.m. Meanwhile, clearing crews are using towing trucks to clear the involved vehicles. All northbound lanes were to reopen around 4:30 p.m.
