[UPDATE] Motorcycle and Vehicle Collision on Ventura Road Kills Valentin Solorio Jr.

 
Oxnard, CA (June 26, 2020)– On Wednesday afternoon, a motorcyclist identified as Valentin Solorio Jr. died in a collision on Ventura Road and Anna Way.
 
Moreover, the deadly collision happened on June 24 at about 4:40 p.m. on Ventura Road, south of Gonzales Road. According to reports, the crash involved a motorcycle and a vehicle.
 
The responding officers said that a 2007 Honda motorcycle was traveling south on Ventura Road, exiting Gonzales Road.
 
Then, the motorcycle struck a 2015 Toyota Prius that was about to complete a left turn from Ventura Road to Anna way.

Aftermath of Incident

 
Paramedics performed first aid and life-saving measures to Mr. Solorio, of Fillmore. Furthermore, the motorcyclist was transported to Ventura County Medical Center; however, the 41-year-old was later pronounced dead.
 
As a result of the collision, the traffic on southbound Ventura Road at the intersection of Gonzalez Road was closed off for a brief time.
 
Moreover, the Toyota Prius driver, a 27-year-old female resident of Oxnard, also sustained minor injuries. The police said the driver cooperated with the investigation.
 
The Oxnard Traffic Unit is still investigating the tragic crash.
