Rider Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Fairfield Crash at North Texas Street

FAIRFIELD, CA (July 18, 2019) – A rider suffered life-threatening injuries following a motorcycle crash at North Texas and Oak streets Monday evening.

According to Lt. Jausiah Jacobsen, the incident happened around 7:45 p.m. Authorities determined that the motorcyclist was speeding southbound on North Texas Street. The rider lacked the time and road clearance to stop behind a northbound SUV driver turning left at Oak Street.

As a result, both vehicles collided, causing life-threatening injuries to the unidentified rider. Meanwhile, the 76-year-old Ohio man driving the SUV stayed at the scene.

Due to the crash, crews closed North Texas Street between Wisconsin and Oak streets for investigations and clean up. However, police did not release any other information regarding the accident at this time.
