Las Vegas Motorcycle Collision on Tropicana Avenue and Mountain Vista Street
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 25, 2019) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries after a collision with a van on Tropicana Avenue.
The incident occurred on November 23, before 6:00 p.m. on East Tropicana Avenue and Mountain Vista Street. The collision shut down all of the westbound lanes of Tropicana and also restricted traffic into one lane in the eastbound lanes of Tropicana.
“Just preliminarily we know it was a single rider on a motorcycle into the van,” Metropolitan Police Department Sgt. Dave Gifford stated. “We are not 100 percent on fault or impairment at this time.”
“The motorcycle rider is injured and we know he has a significant injury to his leg,” Gifford added.
Meanwhile, Las Vegas police Lt. Jeff Stuart revealed that the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and that the individual “was not doing well.”
An ambulance took the victim to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with an unknown condition.
Weaving in and out of lanes is dangerous. Always stay at your lane and be aware of the presence of other motorists around you. In addition, pay attention and consider small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles. These are more prone to road accidents than bigger vehicles.
