Nicholas Bordes Fatally Struck in Downtown Las Vegas Motorcycle Accident
Las Vegas, NV (July 10, 2020)– A two-vehicle crash in Fremont and Bruce Street killed Nicholas Bordes, 23, on Thursday morning.
The deadly crash occurred on July 9 at about 10:07 a.m. LVMPD Traffic Bureau responded to the scene and found the wreckage of the crash.
Metro investigated the video coverage of the crash. They found out that the incident started when a 2001 Suzuki GSX-R was traveling westbound on Fremont Street. It appears that the motorcyclist, Mr. Bordes, entered an intersection while on a red light.
At the same time, a 1994 Buick Roadmaster that was traveling southbound on North Bruce Street entered the intersection on a green signal.
As a result, the Suzuki hit the left side of the Buick, and the motorcyclist was thrown from his bike.
Fatal Motorcycle Crash Aftermath
The motorcyclist and the Buick driver were rushed to UMC Trauma however, the motorcyclist reportedly succumbed to his injuries. He was later pronounced dead.
Furthermore, the driver of the Buick sustained minor injuries due to the incident.
According to LVMPD, this fatality marks the 47th traffic-related fatality for the year 2020.
Moreover, the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section continues to investigate the incident.
