Motorcyclist Died on West Hawthorne Crash

 
Eureka, CA (June 19, 2020) – On Thursday night, a motorcyclist died in a vehicle crash on West Hawthorne and Union Street.
 
The accident happened at around 8 p.m. on June 18. Dispatched officers responded and located a motorcycle and a van on the scene.
 
According to witnesses, the motorcycle was going at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the van as both vehicles were in the intersection.
 
Emergency crews found the motorcyclist lying unresponsive in the road. They aided the motorcyclist at the scene and transported to a hospital, but he later died while undergoing treatment.
 
Meanwhile, the van driver was taken to the hospital for tests, but his current status has not yet updated.
 
No other information is available at this time. Further investigation is actively ongoing.
