Kevin Maloney Dies in Suspected DUI Crash in Lake Mead Boulevard
Las Vegas, NV (May 21, 2020)– On Thursday night, a motorcyclist, Kevin Maloney, 62, died in a suspected DUI crash in Lake Mead Boulevard.
According to reports, a Harley-Davidson travelled eastbound on Lake Mead Boulevard when a Nissan Altima heading east, made an “unsafe U-turn.”
This caused the Nissan to strike the motorcycle near Los Feliz Street.
As a result of the extreme impact, Maloney was ejected from the bike and died on the spot.
Police confirmed the driver of the Altima was driving under the influence. They identified him as 27-year-old Luis Osorio.
At this time, Osorio is facing charges of felony DUI.
Furthermore, Investigators closed the Lake Mead in both directions as of 8:30 p.m. However, it has since reopened to the traffic.
We at Sweet lawyers extend our sympathy and condolences to the family and loved ones of Kevin Maloney. May the bereaved find strength and comfort in this difficult time.
Wrongful Death Claims
“The aftermath of tragic accidents can make everything difficult for a family. The last thing most families want to deal with is piles of paperwork, questions from insurance companies or defense attorneys, and attempting to obtain police reports. Grieving and handling legal claims don’t exactly go hand in hand, this is why hiring an experienced attorney can not only provide you with peace of mind that you have a fighter in your corner but having someone to make sure that your rights are respected and that justice will be served. Having legal representation after such a traumatic event will provide your family the space to heal while ensuring that justice is brought to your loved one,” says Mark Sweet, a seasoned attorney at Sweet Lawyers.
