Man Fatally Injured after Motorcycle Crash near South Lakeview Avenue
ANAHEIM, CA (August 19, 2018) – A motorcyclist was killed late Sunday evening, following a rear-end collision on 91 Freeway. The identity of the deceased victim was not immediately released to the public, pending notification of family members.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 11:47 PM. A man riding a motorcycle slammed into the rear of a gray GMC Yukon on the South Lakeview Avenue on-ramp to the westbound 91 Freeway.
The victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. Investigators suspect that other motorists may have hit the motorcyclist following the initial crash, but the driver of the GMC remained and cooperated with the investigation.
Events that led to the deadly collision and possible contributing factors are still being investigated. Additional information was not disclosed at this time.
