East 29th Street Collision Kills Male Rider

Tacoma, WA (March 29, 2022) – On Sunday, a male rider sustained fatal injuries in a Portland Avenue collision.

It was about 7:41 p.m. when the incident took place at the intersection with East 29th Street.

Officers say a motorcyclist was southbound when a northbound vehicle driven by a 13-year-old girl turned left in front of him.

The male rider struck the passenger side of the vehicle.

The teen driver and a 42-year-old woman in the passenger seat did not sustain injuries from the crash. However, the unidentified driver died in the accident.

Meanwhile, officers said there were no signs that the teen driver was impaired by drugs or alcohol during the collision. No arrests have been made, as the authorities are still investigating this incident.
