Rider Dies in Laughlin Highway 163 Crash
LAUGHLIN, NV (November 12, 2019)—A motorcyclist died Sunday night following a collision on Highway 163 near Highway 95.
According to Nevada State Trooper Travis Smaka, the incident happened around 5:00 p.m.
Authorities believe the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound around a curve when he or she traveled into the westbound traffic lane, where the bike struck a vehicle head-on. Unfortunately, the unidentified rider died at the scene.
Reports did not indicate any details regarding the other vehicle or driver involved. As a result of the crash, commuters faced a four- to five-hour closure along Highway 163 West.
More on this crash is under investigation by authorities.
