Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on 8 Freeway at West Main Street [EL CAJON, CA]

Deadly Motorcycle Crash on 8 Freeway in El Cajon

 
EL CAJON, CA (October 4, 2019) – A motorcyclist died in a traffic collision Friday evening in El Cajon.
 
The crash took place at 4:36 p.m. along the westbound lanes of 8 Freeway near West Main Street off-ramp.
 
According to the CHP, a three-wheeled motorcycle rear-ended a tan Nissan Murano. The impact sent the rider down in the middle of the roadway with major injuries.
 
Rescue teams rushed the rider to a hospital, where the individual was declared dead.
 
Authorities closed the westbound 8 Freeway off-ramp at West Main Street as they worked on clearing the crash area, according to Caltrans.
 
No additional information was provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
