Rider Dies after Crash with SUV on 15 Freeway in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 16, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic collision Friday evening on 15 Freeway in San Diego.
 
The crash happened around 7:40 p.m. along the northbound lanes of 15 Freeway near Bernardo Center Drive, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
 
CHP said the motorcyclist lost control for unknown reasons and went down in front of a copper Hyundai Tucson in the center divider. Several vehicles pulled over to help.
 
As a result, the rider suffered fatal injuries. Arriving paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
A SigAlert was issued at 5:15 a.m., closing all northbound freeway lanes for the investigation.
