Rider Dies after Crashing into Tree on Texas Springs Road in Grant
GRANT, CA (June 29, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident Saturday night at an intersection in Grant, authorities said.
The crash happened around 6:33 p.m. at Texas Springs Road and Montgomery Ranch Road.
According to an initial report, a motorcycle had crashed into a tree on the right shoulder. Arriving paramedics requested an air ambulance to transport the rider to a hospital.
Despite life-saving efforts, the rider did not survive and was declared dead. Information on the victim’s identity was not immediately available.
It is unknown if drugs and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Police did not release any other information regarding the accident at this time. The CHP is handling the investigation.
