Motorcyclist Killed in Crash at East Avenue I and 15th Street East [Lancaster, CA]

Rider Dead in Lancaster Accident, Woman Injured Trying to Help

 
LANCASTER, CA (May 22, 2019) – A motorcyclist perished in a crash with a pickup truck at East Avenue I and 15th Street East Sunday morning.
 
The collision occurred around 1:30 a.m.
 
According to a news release, a man traveling westbound on Avenue I collided with an eastbound red pickup truck attempting a left turn onto 15th Street East.
 
As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries.
 
Reports say that at some point, the motorcyclist was found underneath the pickup truck, prompting several passersby to approach the collision site and assist.
 
Shortly after, a woman rendering aid to the biker suffered major injuries when a passing motorist struck her.
 
Paramedics quickly rushed her to a hospital while the driver involved stayed at the scene for investigation.
 
The identities of the victims have yet to be released to the public.
