Fatal Multiple Vehicle Collision on Prairie Avenue at Regent Street

 
INGLEWOOD, CA (June 9, 2018) – A motorcyclist was killed in a multiple-vehicle crash on Prairie Avenue, late Friday night.
 
Officers responded to the area of Prairie Avenue and Regent Street at around 10:10 PM, after receiving reports about a collision involving multiple vehicles and a motorcycle. Based on the preliminary investigation by the Inglewood Police Department, the motorcycle rider was headed south on Prairie when it crashed into a Mercedes Benz that was turning left from northbound Prairie to Regent Street.
 
The motorcyclist suffered critical injuries and was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The identity of the victim was not immediately announced. The driver of the Mercedes was also rushed to the hospital and cooperated with investigators.
 
Authorities are still investigating the incident to determine what caused the accident. It was immediately not known if drugs or alcohol were involved in the collision.
