18-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies After Crash on Contra Costa Boulevard in Pleasant Hill

Pleasant Hill, CA (October 24, 2024) – An 18-year-old motorcyclist from Pleasant Hill died Wednesday evening after a crash on Contra Costa Boulevard.

According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling north on Contra Costa Boulevard around 6:40 p.m. when he collided with a vehicle making a left turn onto Dexter Drive from the southbound lane of Contra Costa Boulevard.

Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to John Muir Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. 

The driver, who was the only person in the other vehicle, remained uninjured at the scene.

The collision prompted authorities to close the northbound lanes of Contra Costa Boulevard between Massolo and Ellinwood drives for several hours, though the roadway was reopened by Thursday morning.
