SAN DIEGO, CA (January 18, 2023) – Tuesday, a 22-year-old male motorcyclist died in a traffic crash on Interstate 15 and State Route 56.
 
The incident happened at around 11:00 p.m. on south Interstate 15, south of State Route 56 in Rancho Peñasquitos.
 
According to reports, the 22-year-old motorcyclist from Shenandoah, Iowa, struck his Harley Davidson with a Toyota sedan. Then, the crash caused the rider to be ejected from his bike.
 
However, he succumbed to his injuries before he could be transported to a hospital.
 
Meanwhile, a Ford SUV then struck the sedan. Meanwhile, a Toyota SUV struck the Ford SV.
 
Officers confirmed that none of the drivers sustained injuries. Also, they didn’t show any signs of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
 
At this time, the authorities are waiting for a toxicology report to determine whether the motorcyclist was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
 
Moreover, the incident shut down several freeway lanes for about five hours.
