Fatal Echo Park Motorcycle Hit-And-Run Crash on Glendale Boulevard

 
ECHO PARK, CA (December 8, 2020) – Monday morning, a motorcyclist died in a hit-and-run accident on Glendale Boulevard and Reservoir Street.
 
The fatal hit-and-run crash happened around 6:35 a.m., when a van driver initiated an illegal U-turn in front of a motorcycle rider.
 
The incident happened on Glendale Boulevard just south of Reservoir Street, said the Los Angeles Police Department.
 
A video surveillance revealed that the rider attempted to slow down, skidded sideways, and crashed into the van’s tail-end. The crash lead to the van’s bumper falling off.
 
Meanwhile, the driver stopped but reversed and headed south. Moreover, the driver didn’t stop to identify themself or aid the victim.
 
Furthermore, responders transported the 29-year-old male victim to a hospital in critical condition. Even so, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries shortly upon arrival.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t identified the victim.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities described the van as a maroon or red, late 1990s to early 2000 Chevy Astro.
 
Also, the police are offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information that will lead to the driver’s identification, apprehension, and conviction.
