1 Dead in Victorville Motorcycle Crash on Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (March 3, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, a motorcyclist died in an accident on Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road.
 
The incident occurred at 4:10 p.m. on Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road.
 
According to witness Belinda Joyce, the motorcyclist rode west on Bear Valley Road. Then, the rider went “wicked fast” as he attempted to beat the red light.
 
Afterward, the rider drove into the intersection and crashed with a silver Toyota Yaris’ driver side. The Toyota was driving south on Hesperia Road.
 
“His body flew at least 10 feet and slid under a truck stopped at the light,” said Belinda Joyce. “He never moved after he hit the ground and was unresponsive when I got to him.”
 
A concerned citizen initiated CPR on the rider until first responders came and took over. Afterward, an ambulance took the unresponsive driver to Desert Valley Hospital. However, despite life-saving measures, the rider succumbed to injuries.
 
The crash led officials to shut down the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road for multiple hours. Meanwhile, the Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) investigated the scene.
 
Furthermore, the Toyota driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.
 
The Victorville Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Also, they urged anyone with information to contact 760-241-2911.
