Motorcyclist Airlifted to Hospital in Collision on Interstate 5 and Highway 99

Bakersfield, CA (October 09, 2020) – On Thursday, a motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a black Dodge Charger on the split of the Interstate 5 and Highway 99.

The CHP says the vehicle crash on Interstate 5 happened at about 3:20 p.m. in northbound lanes of Highway 99.

Moreover, authorities say that the cause of the Bakersfield crash is not clear at the moment.

Meanwhile, police are diverting traffic to the northbound Interstate 5 due to the investigation.

Furthermore, rescuers had a helicopter transport the injured motorcyclist to a hospital, but the person’s condition is not known as of yet.

Subsequently, at about 4:45 p.m. traffic on Highway 99’s northbound lanes became passable.
