Crash on Cypress Avenue Hospitalized Rider

Redding, CA (April 2, 2022) – On Friday, at about 3:20 p.m., a motorcyclist sustained injuries in a U-Haul van crash on Cypress Avenue near Hartnell Avenue.

Investigators say the motorcyclist and van were both eastbound on Cypress Avenue. However, the van driver looked down and away from the road. As a result, the van rear-ended the motorcycle.

The motorcycle and its rider were stuck underneath the van. They were dragged for several yards from the accident scene.

Right away, the paramedics rushed the rider to a local hospital with a possible fractured leg.
