Motorcycle Involved in Late Afternoon 4-Vehicle Collision on 880 Freeway in Hayward

 
HAYWARD, CA (May 23, 2019) – A motorcyclist was injured following a multi-vehicle crash late Thursday afternoon in Hayward.
 
The crash happened around 5:38 p.m. on southbound 880 Freeway at West Winton Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, four vehicles, including a white Mercedes-Benz SUV and a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle, were involved.
 
When officers arrived, the rider was found lying in the second lane with moderate injuries and was semi-conscious. Paramedics took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
 
Firefighters blocked the first, second and third lanes of the freeway while they worked on the scene.
