Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Collision on Highway 17 [San Jose, CA]

Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Motorcycle Crash near Interstate 280

 
SAN JOSE, CA (March 15, 2019) – A motorcyclist suffered injuries Friday evening following a hit-and-run collision on Highway 17. Authorities did not disclose the identity and the age of the victim.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 8:00 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle struck a motorcycle near Interstate 280.
 
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to Valley Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle immediately fled the area.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the collision. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call San Jose CHP area office at (408) 467-5400 as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
