1 Hurt in San Diego Motorcycle Accident on Grand Avenue and Haines Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 23, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, a 25-year-old motorcyclist suffered injuries in a DUI crash on Grand Avenue and Haines Street.
The incident occurred just before 2:00 p.m., the San Diego police revealed. Apparently, the motorcyclist headed west on Grand Avenue.
However, the southbound motorist pulled out in front of the rider. Then, the vehicle struck the motorcyclist’s 2016 Harley-Davidson from a stop sign at Haines Street shortly.
As a result, the motorcycle hit the driver’s side of the 2000 Toyota Camry. The impact sent the rider onto the road.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment. Officer John Buttle said that the rider suffered broken bones, including his right femur, the left humerus, and right wrist.
Moreover, the authorities arrested the 26-year-old motorist on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. His identity remains undisclosed as of this time.
Due to the limited information available, the crash remains under active investigation.
Weaving in and out of lanes is dangerous. Be aware of the presence of other motorists around you. Pay attention and consider small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles, as these riders are more prone to road accidents than bigger vehicles.
The Rising Numbers of Accident in the US
As common of an occurrence as they are, many people do not suspect what follows in the event of a California motorcycle crash.
The most valuable step you can take in response is to hire a personal injury attorney.
“Personal injury attorneys prioritize your recovery while securing your future from further losses a severe accident can bring. A common misconception is that personal injury lawyers don’t care. That is simply not true. Injury lawyers care about and want justice for their clients. We are driven by the desire to make our clients whole again,” says Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers.
