OAKLAND, CA (September 23, 2019) — A motorcyclist suffered injuries in a collision with a vehicle on 580 Freeway Friday morning.
 
The incident occurred at about 8:19 a.m. according to the California Highway Patrol. A motorcyclist collided with a vehicle in the eastbound lanes near Broadway Auto Row.
 
The officers said the rider sustained major injuries. On the other hand, the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. There was no information, however, if they had injuries from the crash.
 
The first and second lanes of the freeway near the center divider were closed following the incident. The CHP issued a Sig Alert at 8:25 a.m. which took effect until 9:20 a.m.
 
The collision is under investigation.
