LAS VEGAS, NV (May 21, 2019) – A victim sustained injuries in a Las Vegas motorcycle accident on Buffalo Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard May 17.
 
Authorities received reports of a motorcycle and car collision about 1:43 p.m. on North Buffalo Drive and West Lake Mead Boulevard.
 
According to troopers, the car trying to make a U-turn struck a westbound motorcycle on Lake Mead. The uninjured driver remained at the area and helped with the investigation.
 
However, the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in the collision. Medical responders transported the rider to University Medical Center in critical condition. The rider reportedly wore a helmet during the collision.
 
The road is expected to remain close in both directions for the next two hours.
