Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Car Collision on Main Street

 
Ferndale, WA (July 6, 2020) – On Sunday afternoon, a motorcyclist sustained injuries in a car collision on Main Street’s 1800 block.
 
The crash happened at around 5 p.m. on July 5.
 
According to reports, a 2005 Yamaha Road Star and a 2017 Toyota Corolla were traveling eastbound on Main Street when suddenly the Toyota moved from the right to the left, causing the Toyota to hit the motorcycle’s rear tire.
 
As a result, the rider swerved to the left and fell off the bike after colliding with a concrete curb lane divider.
 
Subsequently, emergency crews transported the rider to PeaceHealth St Joseph’s Medical Center with minor injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the Toyota driver remained uninjured and Ferndale Police issued him an infraction for improper lane usage. Moreover, Ferndale Police say drugs or alcohol are not factors in the crash.
