Motorcycle and Vehicle Crash on Interstate 580 Near Mill Street Left Motorcyclist With Life-Threatening Injuries
Reno, NV (September 25, 2020) – A motorcycle and vehicle crash on Interstate 580 critically injures a motorcyclist on Wednesday.
The crash took place on September 23 at about 8:10 p.m. on Interstate 580.
In the original report, the crash led to the closure of Eastbound Mill Street at 9 p.m. However, it reopened by around 11 p.m.
Authorities responded to the area and found a 26-year-old male motorcyclist down on the road.
The investigation showed that a vehicle traveling west on Mill Street made a left turn. The motorcyclist who was on east Mill Street then hit the side of the vehicle.
Medical personnel took the motorcyclist to RENOWN with life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene for the investigation. Authorities said that driving under the influence of alcohol appears to the cause of the incident.
