Motorcyclist Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on North Nellis Boulevard and Washington Avenue
Las Vegas, NV (August 20, 2020) – On Wednesday, a 35-year-old man died after he was involved in a crash on North Nellis Boulevard and Washington Avenue.
The crash happened at about 8:33 p.m. and it involved two other vehicles, a Nissan Rogue and a Chevrolet Silverado.
Metro Police said that motorcyclist was Southbound on Nellis Boulevard when the Nissan going North made a left turn towards the oncoming motorcyclist.
Next, the motorcycle hit the side of the vehicle. Then, a Chevrolet traveling behind the motorcycle was unable to avoid the Nissan.
Rescuers took the driver of the Nissan, a 75-year-old woman, to the Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevrolet remained at the crash scene.
Police are still investigating the possible cause of the collision. Both drivers did not have any signs of impairment, reports say.
LVMPD said that this is the 61st death on in their jurisdiction for 2020.
