Rider Injured in Hesperia Highway 173 Crash
HESPERIA, CA (July 22, 2019) – A head-on accident involving two motorcycles left a rider critically injured Saturday afternoon in the Highway 173 crash.
The 3:45 p.m. crash unfolded at a curve in the roadway near Mile Marker 5. According to California Highway Patrol incident logs, two Harley-Davidson motorcycles collided with a Jeep Cherokee SUV under unknown circumstances.
Following the crash, one rider was seen walking around while crews found the other one lying on the ground.
Officials summoned a helicopter to the scene to airlift one male patient to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Meanwhile, investigators blocked the highway in both directions due to investigations and clean up.
