Vehicle and Motorcycle Collision Reported near Continente Avenue

BRENTWOOD, CA (December 3, 2018) – On Monday, a motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital after a crash on Walnut Boulevard. The victim’s name and place of residence were not immediately released to the public.

According to officials, the collision took place near the intersection of Continente Avenue. A report from the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District stated that the victim was struck by a white Honda CRV that pulled out of Continente, intending to make a left turn on the boulevard.

Paramedics responded to the scene and reported that the rider was taken by a Calstar helicopter to John Muir Medical Center due to major injuries sustained on his right side. After being examined by paramedics at the scene, the driver of the Honda was released.

Both vehicles involved suffered significant damages. Traffic on Walnut was briefly disrupted while clearing operations were conducted at the accident scene.

Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be contributing factors in the accident. An investigation is ongoing to verify information and determine liabilities. No other information has been disclosed at this time.
