Motorcyclist Sustains Major Injuries in Accident on Highway 1 [Aptos, CA]

Major Motorcycle Collision Reported near Sunset Way

 
APTOS, CA (March 30, 2019) – A motorcycle rider sustained major injuries in a crash on Highway 1, Saturday noon.
 
According to CHP, the accident took place around 12:35 PM near Sunset Way. Based on an initial report, the motorcyclist collided with an unidentified vehicle. However, the manner of the accident was not yet known.
 
The motorcyclist was helped by Good Samaritans before the paramedics were requested for medical attention. In addition, they confirmed that the victim suffered life-threatening injuries. The motorcyclist was sent to John Muir Health Walnut Creek Medical Center for treatment.
 
Clearing and cleaning operations took place in the area. It was not yet known if excessive speed is considered a factor in the crash. No further details have been released, as the incident is still under investigation by authorities.
