Injuries Sustained in Sparks Motorcycle Crash
SPARKS, NV (August 14, 2019) – A person sustained injuries in a motorcycle crash on Pyramid Way on August 12.
The incident blocked the Pyramid Way and Prater Way intersection. According to Sparks Police Department, an eastbound van traveled on Prater Way while the motorcyclist headed west.
The van drove in front of the motorcycle and crashed with it.
The rider sustained a broken arm and facial injuries. Responders transported the motorcyclist to the hospital with moderate to severe injuries.
The incident shut down north and south lanes on Pyramid Way. It also closed the westbound Prater Way from Pyramid.
Fortunately, all the closed lanes have since reopened but the crash remains under investigation.
Weaving in and out of lanes is dangerous. Always stay at your lane and be aware of the presence of other motorists around you. Pay attention and consider small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles because these are more prone to road accidents than bigger vehicles.
