Male Pedestrian Found Dead after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Highway 1 in Moss Landing

 
MOSS LANDING, CA (March 23, 2019) – A 25-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash Saturday morning in Moss Landing.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:04 a.m. along the northbound lanes of Highway 1 at Struve Road.
 
A CHP officer was driving along Highway 1 when he saw a lifeless male body lying in the northbound shoulder.
 
The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. He reportedly sustained significant head and body trauma after he was hit by an unknown car.
 
The responsible driver fled the scene without rendering aid.
