Driver Arrested after Crash on Paradise Valley Road in San Diego
San Diego, CA (May 26, 2023) – Thursday night, a 40-year-old moped rider died in a crash on Paradise Valley Road.
The fatal crash on Paradise Valley Road in San Diego happened around 11:10 p.m. on May 25.
San Diego police said a 66-year-old man was driving east in a 2016 Nissan Maxima at about 11:10 p.m. when he crashed into the moped.
The rider was ejected from the motorbike. He died at the scene.
Police have yet to identify the victim.
The driver, who told police he didn’t see the rider, was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
