Three People Including the Deputy Injured in Crash on Pajaro Street

 
Salinas, CA (August 10, 2020) – On Sunday, three people including one deputy of Monterey County Sheriff were injured in a car crash on Pajaro Street and East Romie Lane.
 
Authorities said the crash was between the deputy’s car and a red Dodge 4-door. The Dodge driver reportedly ran a red light at the intersection with a speed of 0-50 MPH and crashed with the deputy.
 
As a result of the impact, Dodge also crashed into a power pole. The rescuers took the deputy and another person to the hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.
 
Authorities said a group of Dodge cars, mostly out from other towns planned a car meet at Salinas High School. Salinas Police told them they couldn’t stay to congregate.
 
Meanwhile, CHP is leading on the investigation because a county car was involved in the accident.
