TUOLUMNE COUNTY, CA (January 11, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, a 36-year-old Modesto died in a speeding crash on Highway 120.
 
The crash happened when a man in a sedan traveled west on Highway 120 at a high rate of speed. Then, he drove up behind an SUV.
 
Afterward, the sedan drove across the double yellow lines and attempted to pass the SUV.
 
Then, a pickup truck driving the other way struck the sedan driver. As a result, the driver of the sedan died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver sustained serious injuries in the crash.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased. Moreover, the authorities continue to investigate whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
