Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Motorist in Modesto

MODESTO, CA (December 6, 2018) – Police are on the hunt for the hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a pedestrian on Pelandale Avenue at Chapman Road Wednesday night.

The pedestrian was believed to be crossing the intersection when he or she was struck by a Volkswagen Jetta. Officers reported that the involved vehicle might have been a silver 2006 or 2008 Jetta that might have sustained damage to the front and possible rear damage from a separate incident.

The crash resulted in traffic in the area due to investigations. Anyone who holds information into this crash is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 209-521-4636.
