Fatality Reported in Modesto Crash on Shoemake Avenue

 
MODESTO, CA (December 5, 2018) – At least one person was killed following a traffic collision Wednesday morning in Modesto, according to the California Highway Patrol.
 
The incident was reported at 9:24 a.m. near the area of of Shoemake Avenue and North Gates Road.
 
Details of how the crash occurred were not immediately available, but an initial log indicated that an abandoned vehicle was involved. A purse or bag was found in the passenger seat of the vehicle.
 
Authorities confirmed the fatality of the incident but the identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
