Mirca Rivera and Child Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Cedar Avenue and Church Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Injuries Reported in Fresno Accident on Cedar Avenue and Church Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (November 3, 2022) – Monday morning, Mirca Rivera and her child suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Cedar Avenue and Church Avenue.
 
The incident happened at about 8:45 a.m. on Cedar Avenue and Church Avenue.
 
As Mirca Rivera headed to work with her 1-year-old baby in the back seat of the car. Then, a black pickup truck t-boned them.
 
“She was crying and you know it was already traumatizing,” said Mirca Rivera. “Once I crawled out to get her out, when I turned back to look where he was going he driven off.”
 
Reports said that as the blue car crossed the intersection, a dark-colored pickup truck crashes into her from the left side.
 
After the crash, the driver of the pickup stayed for a few seconds and then fled the scene.
 
“I wish my daughter wasn’t there in that situation, I wish she didn’t have to go through that you know?” said Rivera. “As an adult and especially as a mother, we would protect our kids, we would put them in bubble wrap if we can you know? But you know it’s just something out of nowhere, out of the blue, it wasn’t really… I didn’t have no time to prepare but just thank god that she’s okay and we’re both safe.”
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t caught the person who caused the collision. Thus, Rivera asked anyone with information about the incident to speak up.
 
“Just come forward so we can get this investigation going,” said Rivera. “I would be really upset if this ended here and we never found the person responsible.”
 
After hospitalization, Rivera and her one-year-old daughter have been released with minor injuries.
