FRESNO COUNTY, CA (April 24, 2025) – Wednesday afternoon, an alarming big rig crash on Highway 41 and American Avenue led to minor injuries.

The incident happened when a big rig crashed with another vehicle at 2:15 p.m. on Highway 41 and American Avenue.

A semi-truck carrying large rocks ran a red light at American Avenue and hit a utility van that was lawfully in the intersection, authorities said. The impact caused both vehicles to overturn, spilling rocks across the roadway.

CHP said all involved suffered minor injuries. Southbound Highway 41 was closed for nearly four hours during cleanup and investigation. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
