Seminole Woman Mindy Moreno Dead in Vehicle Crash on US 385 [Gaines County, TX]

Driver Dies in 2-Vehicle Collision on CR 124

Gaines County, TX (February 6, 2025) – Mindy Moreno, a 35-year-old Seminole woman, was killed in a vehicle crash on US 385 Wednesday morning.

DPS officers said the fatal traffic crash occurred before 9 a.m. at the intersection with County Road 124.

According to the investigators, a big rig with a towed trailer driven by 47-year-old Jesus Hernandez of El Paso was traveling west on CR 124 and stopped at the intersection of US 385. 

At the same time, Moreno was driving north of US 285 in the passing lane.  

Officers said Hernandez failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and struck Moreno who died at the scene.

DPS said both Moreno and Hernandez were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
