Airplane Crashes after Takeoff in Northeast Nevada Killing Idaho Couple
JACKPOT, NV (November 22, 2019) – An eastern Idaho couple died in a plane crash Friday afternoon near the Jackpot, Nevada airport.
The couple’s daughter identified the victims as Mike Quinn and Robin Quinn of Heise, Idaho, owners of the Heise Hot Springs in Ririe.
Around 5:40 p.m., the couple’s private plane took off from the Jackpot airport on their way back to Idaho. Shortly after takeoff, Mike made a left turn to the east, lost altitude and crashed.
The plane burst into flames when it landed. The couple were the only people on the airplane and they died upon impact.
Mike had been a pilot for 40 years, and the couple frequently flew into Jackpot for a night of dinner and entertainment, family members say.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are on their way to conduct an investigation.
With deepest sympathies, our law firm would like to send our thoughts of courage, strength, and support to the bereaved family and friends of Mike and Robin Quinn.
