Injuries Reported in Petaluma Auto Accident on Western Avenue

 
PETALUMA, CA (April 27, 2022) – Saturday morning, authorities arrested Miguel Hernandez-Villalva following a crash on Western Avenue.
 
The incident occurred at 4:34 a.m. when Miguel Hernandez-Villalva’s car overturned. Then, it crashed with a parked pickup truck in the 900 block of Western Avenue.
 
As a result, two female passengers in the vehicle suffered injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities charged Hernandez-Villalva with felony DUI, causing injury, and providing false information to a police officer. Later, they booked him into Sonoma County Jail.
 
According to the suspect, he and his friends met a man who offered to drive them home since they were drunk. Then, that man apparently drove the vehicle at the time of the crash.
 
However, security footage showed that Hernandez-Villalva and his passengers were the only ones in the vehicle.
 
Meanwhile, the two women also said that Miguel Hernandez-Villalva drove the vehicle.
 
Moreover, responders took the victims to Petaluma Valley Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
Furthermore, Hernandez-Villalva failed field sobriety tests. Meanwhile, his blood alcohol content test showed he was 1½ times over the legal limit.
