Miguel Gamboa Fragoza Arrested in Two-Vehicle Crash on 14th Street [Riverside, CA]

Riverside, CA (January 29, 2022) – On Friday, officers arrested 27-year-old Miguel Gamboa Fragoza of San Bernardino in a hit-and-run crash on 14th Street which injured an officer and arrestees.

Apparently, Fragoza struck a Riverside Sheriff’s prisoner transport van and caused it to tip over.

As a result, a Riverside Sheriff’s Community Service Officer and three arrestees sustained minor injuries. The emergency rescuers took them to a local hospital.

Fragoza immediately fled the scene in his Honda CR-V. However, he left behind the vehicle’s front bumper with the license plate. 

Deputies tracked a fluid trail left by Fragoza’s vehicle and found him at the intersection of 12th Street and Bermuda Avenue.

The authorities detained Fragoza without incident.

They booked him into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and hit-and-run on $50,000 bail. 

Jail records his initial court appearance on the charges is on Tuesday at the Riverside Hall of Justice.
