2 Transported to Hospital Following Waco Traffic Crash
Waco, TX (June 17, 2025) – The authorities arrested 28-year-old Miguel Angel Perez following a hit-and-run crash on S 18th Street late Sunday afternoon.
The traffic collision happened around 5:05 p.m. on Burnett Avenue.
Responding officers were told that a Hyundai had struck a Nissan SUV.
As a result, the Nissan rolled and struck a pedestrian who was standing nearby.
Immediately, the rescuers rushed the Nissan occupant and the pedestrian to an area hospital.
The accident report stated that the Hyundai driver, Miguel Angel Perez, fled the scene before the authorities arrived.
Police later found the Hyundai in the 2800 block of Flint Avenue. The authorities then arrested and booked Perez on felony charges of intoxication assault with a motor vehicle causing serious bodily injury and collision involving serious bodily injury.
