Vehicle Crash on Eastern Transportation Corridor Road Killed Michelle Stanford

 
Anaheim, CA (August 24, 2020) – On Sunday, 52-year-old Michelle Stanford of Indio died in a car crash on the Eastern Transportation Corridor (241) toll road.
 
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s-Coroner’s Department, the fatal incident happened at 6:26 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the 241 just north of Santiago Canyon Road.
 
Meanwhile, three others in the 2003 Toyota Sequoia Stanford was driving were also injured. A child was taken to Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Authorities have not made the name and ages of the passengers available as of yet.
 
Stanford was driving about 80 mph in the left lane when her vehicle crashed with a 2016 Nissan Versa driven by a 53-year-old Nicole Martin of Riverside. Martin incurred injuries from the crash.
 
The paramedics’ team rushed him to UC Irvine Medical Center.
 
The Toyota flipped and ended up in the center divider. While the Nissan drifted to the right and slammed into a guard rail on the right shoulder.
 
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
