13-Year-Old Passenger Michelle Bernabe Hernandez Killed, Bryan Gonzalez-Lopez Arrested in Sunnyvale Rollover Crash

 
Sunnyvale, CA (September 2, 2020) – On Sunday, 13-year-old Michelle Bernabe Hernandez died, while the 18-year-old Bryan Gonzalez-Lopez was arrested in a DUI crash on Mary Avenue and Bernardo Avenue.
 
Police said they responded to a collision report at about 1:50 a.m. on Central Expressway.
 
Upon arrival, the authorities located a heavily damaged vehicle in the expressway’s eastbound lanes.
 
As a result, Michelle Bernabe Hernandez, the passenger in the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries.
 
Police booked the driver, Bryan Gonzalez-Lopez into the county jail on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
 
Investigators with the department’s major accident investigation team were also present at the scene.
