Micheal Hamlin Fatally Struck by Driver on Tank Farm Road Near South Higuera Street

 
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (February 14, 2020)—A pedestrian died Tuesday night after being hit by a driver on Tank Farm Road near South Higuera Street.
 
According to a San Luis Obispo Police Department news release, the incident unfolded in the 200 block of Tank Farm Road around 10:25 p.m.
 
Micheal Hamlin, 52, died as a result of the crash. Emergency responders found him unconscious in the roadway. Authorities questioned the 76-year-old driver who struck him at the scene; however, police ruled out impairment as a possible factor.
 
Investigators then discovered that there had been road work going on in the area for several weeks.
