35-Year-Old Antioch Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision near Meadows Avenue
PITTSBURG, CA (October 20, 2018) – A man was killed early Saturday morning following a hit-and-run crash near Meadows Avenue. The deceased victim was later identified as 35-year-old Michael Watkins, a resident of Antioch.
According to officials with the Pittsburg Police Department, the incident took place at about 4:30 AM. The victim was walking on the shoulder of the road when he was struck by a pickup truck that was traveling east on Buchanan Road.

Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup did not remain on site and immediately fled the area. Authorities described the suspect vehicle as a Ford F-150 pickup truck with a sunroof, and there is currently no description of the hit-and-run driver. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the police as soon as possible. No further details have been provided to the public at this time, as an investigation is ongoing.
